MARTIN GLASS WHOLESALE, SINCE 1820
THIS IS MARTIN GLAS
Martin Glas has been providing the Netherlands and Belgium with high-quality glass solutions for almost two centuries. Standard solutions or specific custom-made solutions, always accompanied by expert information and targeted advice.
GLASS FOR PROFESSIONALS
With more than two centuries of experience, we combine craftsmanship with an innovative approach. Our corporate colours tell the story of our broad expertise and versatility: from distribution and assembly to production and online sales. At Martin Glas, everything comes together: speed, quality and reliability.
Our glass specialists work every day for construction companies, glaziers, interior builders, kitchen shops, frame manufacturers, sanitary fitters and painters. Whether you need single, double, HR or triple glass, insulating, fire-resistant or monumental glass: we have it and we do it. We process, deliver, assemble and install. Our stocks are large, our delivery times short. We are there for standard or customised work, but also when it becomes difficult, has to be done extra quickly or demands just that little bit more - we go all the way.
We are not the biggest and fastest in all types of glass for nothing.
Our motto? Glass on it! Always.
IN GLASS FOR OVER 200 YEARS
Read about the history of Martin Glas here
Our company was founded in 1820 by Jan Bayens; at that time, it was still a painting firm.
Loes, Jan Bayens’s daughter, married Martin in 1880; from then on, Martin’s name became the business name. Loes and Martin transformed the painting and glazing business into a paint and glass wholesale business. This took place in a combined premises, 150 metres long, on the Keizersgracht and Rechtestraat in Eindhoven.
The business grew and the premises in the historic centre had become too small, so we moved to a modern building at 214 Hastelweg. This building was designed by the architect Van Haapert and built by Van Grootels Bouwmij. The foundation stone was laid by his (grandson) Polle Martin at the grand opening in 1966.
In 2005, Polle Martin, a third-generation owner, sold his business. The paint division was taken over by Driessen; the glass business continued independently as Martin Glas BV. The new owners, Toon van Moorsel and Marcel Jansen, took the company to new heights.
Since 2021, VEP has held a stake in Martin Glas BV. Martin Glas has continued to grow through the acquisitions of BGI Helmond (2011), Multiglas Van Dijk (2018), Langenhuizen Glasservice (2021) and Stolker Glas (2022). Together, they form a strong and service-oriented glass company.
The building on Hastelweg is undergoing a thorough renovation.
With effect from 1 September 2025, Evers & Evers Glas and Interieurglas will officially continue under the name Martin Glas®. This marks an important milestone in the merger of two strong brands within the glass industry.
